Hey!
I'm Tasha, the owner and artist here at The House on 10th. I have a passion for color, creating inviting spaces, and large cups of coffee. When I'm not in the studio, I'm getting into all sorts of shenanigans with my two daughters, Adelaide + Emma. I'm married to my high-school sweetheart, Aaron, who brings the practical know-how to my wild ideas.
Artistically, I'm inspired by the strangeness of Tim Burton, the passion of Toulouse-Lautrec and the quirky drawings of Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss. Pen and ink takes the cake for my favorite medium. Letting my imagination run wild, one drawing into the next, is my absolute happy place. But I also adore painting and have enjoyed dabbling in screen print, film photography, and embroidery. Here, the mission is simple- create beautiful things and connect with people. This company is about more than selling products- it's about helping to create a space where people can gather + interact. I don't exactly know what that looks like yet, but I can tell you I'm excited to find out. The House on 10th is named after the 94-year-old fixer upper that I call home. If you’d like to read more about the renovation story (which is ongoing) feel free to head on over to the blog. -Tasha |
